After a few months of making friendly and getting negative rep for stupid questions like this If you live in California HOW did you pass smog with an sr20det engine in your car. SEARCHED : Turn signals I got some good research in and now I will just go from there, I know a little not a lot but I want to know this car inside out! Oh I washed it and got rid of the monster truck height, although I am going to lower it some more. I thought I was all dope and decided to do a photoshoot of my car and what not, so far after 3 weeks of owning the car it's safe to say my experience with the car has been interesting to say the least lol. I constantly get reved on by Pontiac GTO's... ONLY GTO's rev their engines at me, lol. WTF is that all about right? Yeah that, here are some more pictures and discrepancies lol. this window has weld spatter from when the sun roof opening on the car was pluged with some metal, any time you weld you want to protect the surfaces o...

Modifications: if you fail to plan, you can plan to fail...

So I have a 240sx, and at the same time it's like March I'm moving into a 4 bedroom house with 3 of my high school pals and so far I am just enjoying the car, getting used to having an rwd ( rear-wheel drive ) vehicle now. I got in contact with Luiz Gonzales aka Luizgonz. Since he was the last person who worked on the car and it had a motor he previously owned in it's engine bay. I figured he would be the best person to give me an assessment of what I'm getting into with this car. I didn't really know what to look for on the car. I knew that the roof eventually needed to be replaced and when I have the coin to buy new and nicer seats, but that is the least of my concerns. I knew that the radiator support needed to be replaced, the fender wells need to be repaired, there is some rust on the front end. All of these things may be redundantly repeated throughout my blog. But one things for sure I saw this car and I saw many other nicer cars in the same price range, ...

Sometimes... we don't always get to do the rad modifications first!

So let me give you a rundown on what I'm talking about. People who work on their own cars will feel this one. When you have to buckle down and take some time to work on something on your car you really have no interest at all trying to do maintenance on, like changing vacuum hoses, or fixing the lock cylinder in the door handle that fell into the door.. Um wtf? So yeah I went to put my key in my door to open it the other day and the lock cylinder just fell into the door. So I took some time to take that shit apart and fix it.... Lets just say it was not a pleasant experience at all. Needless to say I got the lock fixed, should put some locktite on those nuts holding that thing in but it's spilled milk now. I will eventually have to break the doors down at a later date to study how the locking mechanism works. You cannot lock my doors from inside of the car on the passenger side, you have to work the key to the open position and then lock it for that one. The driver door I canno...

Craigslist findings, and why I named my car Simone.

Took me some searching to find this, but here is the original for sale post on Zilvia.com, pretty hilarious after reading it. SoCal FS:1996 Black 240sx S14 Kouki FOR SALE No worries I paid less than what was asked for the car, came out to 8300... While still expensive I knew all of the parts were new and had little to no wear on them because he couldn't drive the car due to all of the engine problems he was having. So basically I spent a lot of money on new parts, saving myself the trouble of buying them later, plus the wheel's are like a set of wheels I've always wanted... I have future plans in store for them, you shall see! The owned didn't work on his own car, it was obvious when he didn't even know what was wrong with it. So he had someone replace the engine and transmission in the car so he could sell it for down payment money to get an s2000. I actually keep in contact with the owner from time to time. Anyway. So yeah Rig...
