Haven't driven Simone in almost 3 weeks, not because I don't want to. Mainly the whole needing to work on her bit is sort of a buzzkill. I just don't have or want to make the time. It should take me about 45 minutes to replace the radiator, but I want to re-locate the temperature probe for the e-fan while I have the fan shroud off. I originally wanted it on the driver side of the car but had to settle with the passenger side since I didn't want the wire dangling near any moving parts. With the shroud already on that didn't seem very logical. So I want to actually take my time and not rush the replacement job, and it would be nice to replace the water pump while the car is apart. I haven't had any problems with the thermostat, so I don't really feel the need to replace that. Especially since money is sparse, that nice car payment came with a decent increase in insurance premium as well. Needless to say, I don't want to start working on Simone, bec...

New Car Smell, I don't has it.

Some of you may have been paying attention through social media or what not about me picking up a new car. Let me just make it official with the walk around vid here. (note : I moved the car and was able to get into it from the passenger side, the door doesn't open from the inside either... sigh.) I guess I can take you guys back to last thursday the 31st when I sent a credit app to Universal City Nissan. I got a call about 45 minutes later telling me to swing on by after verifying a few things and lets chat. So I head over to the dealership, I tell them what I want a super base model 2013 sentra. Lowest of the low, they tell me what they have on the lot. They have what I want, they have suped up sentra's they'd like me to look at. But in the end they wanted to make me happy and not shove anything down my throat so I got to pick. So I picked a car and they mentioned one that fit the bill but was midline trim level. The SV but they'll give it to me for the price...

When you become sick and tired of your car.

I have been watching the temps in my car slowly creep up and I know how this fan controller works, the way I have it set. as soon as it his 85c it comes on and holds temp at 68c until it hits 65c then it turns off and repeats the process. Half of the time the temps in my car never even hit 85c unless I'm driving uphill in a spirited manner.  So lately I've been seeing this a lot And to be honest with you I see it randomly, sometimes the fan controller doesn't come on. But it's a probe type meaning the radiator has to be hot enough to give off the same temp I'm seeing on this guy right here. But if the radiator doesn't have any water in it, and there is nothing to send a heat signal to the fan controller, the fan controller doesn't come on.  Makes perfect sense right?  So what do you logically do when you open up your radiator and you see your coolant is topped off or gives the illusion that the radiator is full until it gets press...

I haven't washed my car in almost 2-3 Months now, couldn't even tell in pictures, but I feel really bad letting all of the california acid rain and dirt sit caked up on my wheels. =( Hopefully I can get her washed today. Got exciting news that my replacement center cap will be shipping soon from the motherland! -Wayne

I still have plans on getting some BN front fenders to remedy the gay stretch tire thing I have going on in the front of my car. But the rears, I know you guys were loving or hating that tuck I had going on with my previous s drives that I killed. You may have remembered this post  I made way back about wanting to try these tires out. I figured they would be the middle ground between the 615k and the RS-3. I have no idea how they perform on a track, but on a freeway they are pretty good for the cost. I do think they're a bit grabby in wet or dry and like the other two tires they're super shitty when cold. I mainly drive my car at night so I always swerve a bit to get my tires warmed up for max debauchery. Needless to say, here we are again full circle. Time for me to ante up and replace the tires again and as much as I wanted to switch to something else due to the lack of sizes larger than 275 on the treadwidth. I'll give a thinner tire a shot one more time. stretched...

It's that time of the season where everyone is spending time with their loved ones. Getting fat, etc, etc.  My handsome little nephew Skyler.  I've been really busy with a lot of things, not car related.  candid And no I'm not wearing an artist cap. *gasp* Pretending to know what I'm doing It's still not done, need to fix the type all around the mural. But it's coming along.  Simone has been running like a champ. After the de-beading I haven't had any problems with the car. Getting back on the road again.  The weathers been cold and wet, and she's handled greatly in the rain and this cold weather. It'd be nice if the heater worked still. Not sure how all of that got fucked up when installing the digital climate control but it probably has to do with the hoses for the most part. I'll eventually remedy that. My fender is still fucked up, I still don't have the canards on the car, and I still have not cut and...
