Racebred Components Splitter.

I saw my friend edgar had a splitter made for his car and he used some rx-7 brackets and retrofitted them to his Nissan Z32. I weighed some of the options from their site and figured the rx-7 brackets were the way to go. I originally offered to bring my car down for them to scan it or whatever they do to design their brackets and they just sent me instructions on how to get a custom splitter made. 


I took a tracing of my bumper and mailed it off to RBC after finally biting the bullet to make this purchase, I also added a set of the tire spats. I just figured it would look cool and they're not too annoying of a modification. Below is the proof they sent me based on the tracing I did, I asked for them to make mine 2 inches, I think they do upwards of 4-5 inches for their splitter blades. Just keep in mind you'll most likely have to go pick your splitter up and they don't drill any pilot holes in custom splitters. 

Unfortunately my little vlogging camera was not doing to hot taking pictures, I'll eventually have a video up by the end of the weekend. I'm too pooped to throw anything together tonight.

There is still some gaps between the bumper and the splitter so I ordered a pair of these and I'll mount them to the oem bumper support, towards the edges of the bumper but behind the bumper. I don't want exposed rods, the splitter isn't long enough for that. 

All in all the install just took a lot of time, a lot of eyeballing, removing and putting items back on the car to figure out where to bolt things in, where to drill stuff and even after making the holes. I had to use a router to elongate my holes on the splitter so I could have some up down play with the elevator bolts as well as left right play.

If you've come here then you have decided to undertake the task of wiring up an s13sr20det motor for use in a 1995-1998 240sx. This isn't the end all guide or going to go over problem free for you if it's your first time wiring up an engine. Just so happens a strand of h/s I bought wasn't adhesive and the solder ended up corroding causing shorts/issues. Introduction  Hello,  So you wanna install one of these. I'll try to be the voice of reason in 2022 and tell you it's probably not even worth it. 10-15 years ago, heck yeah go for it.  But if you're insistent like myself, I'll give you all of the tools needed to get the job done.  It's been a while since I've installed this. 12 years in fact. I've contemplated making youtube videos but to be honest I am ungodly lazy. This blog post at this point is more of a diary for me as well as a how-to because if I ever have to troubleshoot this crap again I know that I've unnecessarily over-documented this install for the final time.  I will say that, I originally followed the write up here:  chuonthis s14 dcc write-up  I don't want to plagiarize and flat out copy the write up, but I'm going to stage the information very similarly.  I have it available in PDF format and have uploaded it here in case their website ever goes down. Just gonna do a random photodump and just chat about some things. Embedding some you tube shorts as well. I previously mentioned how I was going to upgrade to hid's and led corner lights and turn signals. But I also wanted to black everything out, light output at night shouldn't be affected. May be a bit harder to see things during the day but I'm not too worried about it. The oem stuff was already pretty hard to see during the day anyway as shown in the example below.  So here is the final result of the headlight and corner light tint, I still have my old oem signal markers in. I was waiting to pick up my led ones from paint as there just was no way I was going to be able to wrap them.
